Volunteer fundraising is fundamental to the efforts of both RNRMC and RMA-TRMC and we would be unable to achleve the level

our procedures are capable of detectlng Irre8ularltle5, Includln8 fraud Is detalled below.
The objectlves of our audlt In respect of fraud, are; to Identlfy and assess the r15ks of materlal misstatement of the flnanclal

responslblllty for the prevention and detection of fraud rests wlth both mana8efflent and those char8ed wlth 8overnance of
the charitable company,
Our approach was as follows:
We obtained an under5tandin8 of the le8al and re8ulatory requlrements applicable to the charitable company and
considered that the m05t Significant are The Companies Art 2006. the Chawitie5 and Trustee Investment {Scotlandl Act

We obtained an understanding of how the charitable company wmplle5 Vlith these requlrement5 by d15¢U551ons with
management and those char8ed with 8overnance.
We assessed the risk of material misstatement of the financial statements, including the risk of material misstatement
due to fraud and how it might occur, by holding discussions wilh management and those charged with governance.

REPORT OF THE INDEPENDENT AUDITOR TO THE MEMBERS OF
THE ROYAL NAVY ANO ROYAL MARINES CHARITY
We Inquired of management and those char8ed with governance a5 to any known instances of non-compliance or
suspected non-compliance with laws and re8ulation5.
Based on this understandins, we de5i8ned specific appropriate audit prO￿dureS to identify instances of non-compliance
with law5 and re8ulations. Thls included makln8 enquirie5 of mana8ement and those charged with governance and
obtalnin8 add•tional corroborative evidence as required.
There are inherent limitations In the audit procedures desulbed above. We are less Ilkely to become awafe of Instances of non-
compliante with laws and regulations that are not closely related to events and transa¢tlons reflected In the financial statements.
Also, the rlsk of not detectlng a materlal mlsstatement due to fraud Is hlgher than the rlsk of not detectlng one re5ultlng from
