We continue to make progress wrf(h Ihe efforts lo broaden our membership advised last year, with
highly posrtive reaction lo Contactl magazine, ￿lch became part of the mernbership benefits package
Irom the start of 2025. Membership numbers in 2025 rose significantly for the first b.me in three
decades, We have continued to increase our social media presence, ￿th a 20% increase in follower5
on Facebook and X to oveT 7,000, and we a150 achieved a 57% increase in subscribers lo our Wind in
the Wires newsletter, reaching 2,625. The investment in the new web$rte has improved resilience and
given us a secure foun(Jation lor the Immediate future. We have continued with OUT regular series of
online lectures, recordings of 811 of whlch are available In the members. area of the websrte. We hope
lo launch a series of 'slarter' lectures In 2026, Sn addltion to the regular programme, designed lo avoid
the audience needing detailed knovAedge of early aviallon and lo avold any suggestion that our hobby
Is the preserve of a small expert group. For the first lime In more than a decade, the Society wll be
hogling an in-person seminar in October 2026, offering member5 and their friend5 the chance to hear
odginal papers from respected author$ and rese8rchers in a ¢ongenial environment.
