It has close links with art and design students in Bristol, Bath and beyond. Financial review As shown in Ihe Accounts on page 4 income amounted to £46,972 and expenditure to £50,459. In preparing those financial statements, generally accepted practi￿ entails that the Trustees-. select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently., make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent., state whether the recommendations of the Statement of Recommended Practice Accounting by Charities have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements., prepare the financial slalements on the going con￿rn basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue in business. The Trustees are required to act in accordance with the trust deed and the rules of the charity, within the framework of trust law. They are responsible for keeping proper accounting records. They have general responsibility for taking such steps as are reasonably open to them lo safeguard the assets of the charity and to prevent and detect fraud and other irregularities. THE KEN STRADLING COLLECTION Registered Charity Number 1117689 INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE KEN STRADLING COLLECTION I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31st December 2023 which are set out on pages 4 to 6. Res ective res onsibilities of Trustees and Examiner The charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed. Basis of inde endent examiner's statement My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a "true and fairf, view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
