Objective
The main objective of t4e CIO is to restore and develop formal educaiion for children, for the benefit of residents of
Awieil_south County, SoLilh Sudan.
Actlvities
The knharity's mission is to provide èducation for cli ildren, primarily girls. in a Christian context. in partnership with
the local comrp.unity of M21ek, through construction and management of a school and to provide vocational and
C4r¥stian teaching for adults.
The Iwstees canfirm that they havé Complied with ile duty in S 17(5) of the Charities Act 2011 to have due regard
to gijidanbe on public benefit published by the Charity Commission when reviewing the charity's objectives and in
planyinq Jutijre activities.

Payments to the school have pro￿lded income for 38 teaching and nonteaching staff, and funds to meet running

Total unrestricted inr.oming resources for the. year amounted to £51.155 (2023.. £66,650). Unrestricted resources

Thp. charitii has a fund restricted lo funding the fees for girls attending secondary srthool afler iheir education at the
school iri Malek-Alel. There was no iricome to the restrided bur5arv fund in the year. Payments were made in the

The CIO has no employees. How.aver a proporlion of the periodic payments to meet school expanses is spent in
SUPPD*t o,, the 38 school staff. Eight of the tsyeilty teachers are slate-employed. The rernaining 18 non-teachiig
ff are Fespurisible for running everything ou side Ithe classroom. The head teachpr. who has been in PDSt sinne
