## **HINDU SANSKR RADIO 63 MELTON ROAD LEICESTER LE4 6PN CHARITY No: 1117667** ## THE MAIN PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANISATION IS: To Broadcast on DAB Digital Radio on Channel ‘Asian Plus’ and also on www.sanskarradio.com every day from 7. 00 am till 9.00 p.m. every day of the Year, ## **We did NOT DO any Road show during April 2020 and End March 2021 period due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Lockdown.** Our listenership/ following were on the increase and we are very pleased with the support and the Feedback that we received during the Pandemic. Our presenter’s team consisted of 11 increasing to 19 Voluntary members who produce their programme day in day out without expecting any monetary reward. The Volunteers Over 60’s were NOT TO ATTEND THE STUDIO to do their voluntary work. We manage and run this Radio Station with the help of Donations, Sponsors and Advertisement Revenue received from our listeners and well-wishers through out the year. At present the people in East Midlands can listen to us on the Radio and one day we wish that every Hindu living in the U.K. should be able to listen to us. However, listeners from far counties like Africa, New Zealand, USA and even India hear us on the Website and interact with us. We are always seeking financial support from Generous Well wishers or Organisations to achieve our Goal which is: - To help the lonely & House bound old people of Our Community. - To make the new young Generation aware of our good virtues of our culture and Religion. - And make every Hindu feel proud of being a Hindu. ## **OUR CHARITY DOES NOT RECEIVE ANY GOVERNMENT GRANT** **The beginning of April 2020 witnessed a global Catastrophe of the Pandemic COVID-19, The Studio went on “Auto Stream” (A plus) in April 2020 and again from 14 th Jan 2021 for 10 continuous days. We wanted to continue informing our Listeners of the day to progress of COVID-19 Situation and simultaneously ensure safety and the Welfare of our volunteers. The Studio was SANITISED daily on hourly basis. The rule of Mask, Hand Wash & Sanitising and Social Distancing was observed all along.** **Only those volunteers below the of age of 60 continued with the programme whilst the Lockdown was in force. All our volunteers were instructed to take 1st Dose, the Second Dose and the Booster as and when called so they could continue with their voluntary services.
