SUPPORTING THE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES OF LOCAL CHILDREN ABOVE THE DEMANDS OF THE NATIONAL CURRICULUM AND BEYOND THE PROVISION OF THE LEA.

Objects: (i) To Advance The Education Of The Pupils At Maerdy Junior School By Providing And Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities For Education At The School Beyond The Requirements Of The National Curriculum (or Its Replacement) And Above The Statutory Obligations Of The Local Education Authority Including For This Purpose The Promotion Of Cultural Activities Which Extends The Learning Experience Of Its Pupils.(ii) To Provide One Or More Bursaries.(iii) To Advance The Religious Education Of The Pupils Of Maerdy Junior School Through Links With Sion Chapel And All Saints Church.provided That In The Event Of The Closure Or Merger Of Maerdy Junior School The Above Trusts Shall Not Fail But Shall Be Applied To The School Or Schools Which In The Opinion Of The Trustees Must Closely Serve The Educational Needs Of Children In Maerdy.
