Friends from Home from Home UK Annual Report to 5 December 2024 Aims of Friends of Home from Home UK Friends of Home from Home UK was set up to provide financial support to Home f rom Home, a Registered Charity in South Africa. The aim of Home from Home South Africa is to provide homes, education and medical care for orphaned and abandoned children in South Africa. It is also assisting older children to make the transition into tertiary education or employment. There are currently over 200 children housed in 36 foster homes. Each home aims to house 6 children, looked after by a trained house mother. The registered address of Friends of Home from Home (UK) is: Monks Retreat, Church Lane, Monkton Combe, Bath, BA2 7EX. Total Funds raised Over the period covered in this report the total amount raised was £64,126. This comprised of £29,420 in donations; £27,021 from fundraising related to sporting events, £4,571 auction proceeds and £3,114 recovered from Gift Aid. This was a pleasing result following a strong year in 2023. Key highlights include. l. A healthy level of recurring child sponsorship 2. The generous support of our regular Trust donors 3. Sponsorship monies raised at the Royal Parks. Tanya Townshend organized a group of runners who finished in very impressive times. 4. Sponsorship monies raised by Daniel Russell who completed an Iron Man on behalf of the charity
- A dinner in London which featured an inspiring talk by Bobby Skinstad, ex Springbok rugby captain. Thanks to a number of generous sponsors, the charity raised money through an auction. Funds of £63,000 were remitted back to South Africa. Expenses Expenses related to Just Giving totaled £303. Expenses of £21 were incurred for bank charges. Costs related to race entries were £2,200. Subscriptions and costs related to the auction dinner totalled £2,442. The trustees would like to thank PB Accountancy, 17 Duckmoor Road, Bristol for preparing the accounts for the Charities Commission, f ree of charge. I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended 05/12/2024

Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
