The trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to Charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019) This is the seventeenth year that the society has existed as a company. ## **Objectives and aims** rural crafts and skills in all their branches by the improvement of livestock including horses and the demonstration and showing of livestock, machinery, crafts, products, methods and processes connected with agriculture and agricultural education The principal activity of the company is that of operating as an agricultural society and the organising of the fundraising events to help finance the annual show. The society also distributed some of any surplus to local charities. The company was set up in October 2006 to take over the activities, which had existed for many years. ## **Volunteers** Whilst the trustees approve the direction of the society, especially the annual show, it relies on the work of the committee members to set up the show. It was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies. The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006. The Directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts. As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the chariws accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examlnation, I have followed the applicable Dlrectlons given by the Charity Commission under section 145{5}Ibl of the Act. Independent examlner's statement I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or the accounts do not accord with the accounting records or 3. the financial statements do not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of the financial statements set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) re8ulations 2008 other than any requirement that the financial statements give a true and fair vlew, which is not a matter considered as part of an Independent examination.
