2006. The company was eslablishecl urKler a Memordndum of Associat￿￿ which eslablished the objecis and powers of Ihe
company and 15 govemed under ils Articles of Association. In the event of the cornpany being wound up members are ￿qUired lo
contribute an amounl not exceeding £1 each.

Aclivltles
Il's Your Life is a small dynamic charity wilh its roots in Tower Hamlets. Over the past 13 years. il has Iransfornied the lives of
peop￿ with whom il works. The majority of its work lakes place in Tower Hamlets wilh pff)grammes also being delrvered in
Newham and in Liverp￿1.
Il's Your Life's principal focus is on Ihe education of vulnerable adults. children arKJ young people. bwho are often hard lo reach
through conventional services. We recognise Ihat V￿ need lo ￿)rk hard lo make contacl wilh those need our seNices most
and that they often have a complex range of problems. Invariably Ihis means Ihat they wll require holistic support, often requiring
more than one prograrnme and needing support over an extended ￿riod of lime.
We prowde 3 programmes which a￿ designed lo provide wde ranging services aimed al edvcaling, supportin9 and enabling not
only the children themselves, bul also Iheir parents and lamilies. in order lo improve Iheir life chances.
Ifs Your Future:
Since April 2016 Tower Hamlets has commissioned Il's Your Life lo run a short lerm, part time, allemalive provision for secondary
and primary pupils referred by Tower Hamlets schools. The prow$￿n 15 an earty inlervenlion for pup115 who are potentially al risk
of pemianenl exclusion or a managed move lo anolher School. who need additional support lo address challenging behaviour5 or
poor relationships Tmlh Staff or peers.11 is suitable for chiklren who rnay need an interim placement while they are on a reduced
timetable al schth)l or who are changing schools loften IhE5e are 'hard lo place. pupils be￿¥een Tower Hamlels schoo15 or from a
school in another boroughl- Schools refer pupils lo It's Your Life before the risk of permanent exclusion becomes a significant
concern. 11 is not appropriate for children who require long le￿ speciallst provision and on averdge children spend no more th8ri
three months on the Il's Your Future programme. The prcgramme aims lo build confidence, provide family support and maximise
educational achievemenl.

Support5 Parents, equipping them with the lools needed lo prepare their children for success in school. Il's Your Child's Life
b81ieves that in order lo lackle under achievement for the poorest Ghihjren we have lo addiess the poverty Ihal exi515 In the home.
This includes povety of education and aspiralvJn. Our principal soluknon lo Ihis is a 12Thweek progrdmme and thereafter var￿u$
follow -up sessions that give parents the knovled9e. attitudes. skills and habils. along with support and confidence lo betier Iheir
parenting and improve their relationships wilh their child's school.
It's Your Communlty:
sI￿ng1henS ties belween different members ol the community. by teaching new skills, encouraging social enlerprises and
supporting positive family and community inleraclion. Our experience has shown that many members of our community possess
skills that ale not often tapped into. We addres5 this by providing classes and groups lo develop existing and new skills. We
provide the facilities, support and expertlse lo encourdge families and individuals to inleracl Ihrough a number ol different projects,
or indeed sel up their own. which creates an inelusNe community. This enables arKI encourages adults lo make positive
conlribuliDns ID the community and become aclNety involved in school and Iccal community initiatives.

innovative ways. and f05ter p05ilive change under the umbrella of our Community Education Zone.
Thanks lo Ihe funding we received. Il's Your Life has strengthened 115 role a5 a key partner in the community, with young people,
adults, and families actively participating in workshop5. course5. mentoring sessions, and b8nefiling from access lo clothing and
educational resources. Our diverse range of COUT5e5 including Malhs, IT, Basic English, Sewing, Art, Gardening. and Parenl
Courses along with one-off workshops. have supported a wide variety of learnir4J needs.
Thi5 year has seen a number of p05ttive oulcomes. with many beneficiaries demonstrab'ng newfound confidence, forniiro new
rriendships. and gaining increased ￿arnIng opportunities. Being silualed in the Bortsugh of Tower Hamlets, we are aeulely aware
of the deep-rooled societal inequalities that impacl our community- The ongoing cost•o14iving Crisis has lesled the financial
resilience of many families., however. our Community Education Zone has emerged as a beacon DI hope. providlng new oplirnlsm.
