  1. To advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving conditions of life persons in the Warrington area, in particular but not exclusively persons of the Islamic faith and their families.

Section D Achievements and performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year April 2023 to March 2024

IFTAAR (opening fast in Ramadan) was organised at the Warrington Town Hall for people of other faith to learn/share and improve the understanding of Islam and the Muslim community.

Once again WIA worked with various UK registered charities to raise funds and support the victims of the ongoing situation in the Middle East particularly Palestine as well as support in countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh following devasting floods in that region.

Wia raised in total circ. £24000 throughout the financial year to support the various charities.

Warrington Islamic association continue to support refugees and asylum seekers in our towns asylum shelters by providing fresh fruit and essentials.

Our education academy which provides Islamic education for children from the ages of 5 to 16 continues to expand with well over 200 students enrolled on the afterschool weekday and weekend madrassa programs.
