Oxford Civic Society is dedicated to ever improving Oxford as a city and area for people to live, work, and relax. We are inspired by the needs and wants of our members and the community as a whole. We focus on the well-being and engagement of communities and their interactions with the city's environment. An appreciation of the past, the present and continuity into the future are fundamental.

Objects: To Promote The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Built And Natural Environment And Infrastructure, Public Or Private; To Encourage High Standards In The Management And Development Of The Built And Natural Environment And Infrastructure, In Particular By Promoting Sustainable Development And The Prudent Use Of Resources; To Foster Civic Pride And Stimulate And Educate The Public, In Particular, But Not Exclusively, By Promoting Understanding And Appreciation Of The Beauty, History, Geography And Character Of Different Localities; To Encourage Individuals And Communities To Understand, Appreciate, Conserve, Protect And Improve The Quality, Beauty, History, Geography And Character Of Their Locality; To Support And Promote Actions And Initiatives Which Encourage The Growth And Development Of A Strong And Active Community Within The City Of Oxford And Its Surroundings, And Encourage Individuals To Play An Active Part;
