The stated aim and purpose of the trust is to worship The Lord Jesus Christ and to spread the Good News. To this end a property was purchased in July of 2020. Examination of the accounts show that we purchased within our means, both in initial price and in maintenance of the property and the ensuing finances.

Section D Achievements and performance
Summary of the main The Birmingham Lighthouse is committed to enabling as many people as achievements of the charity possible to access worship and services are streamed on social media during the year platforms for those who are unable to attend worship in the building. Our services and worship put faith into practice through prayer, scripture, music and fellowship. When planning our activities for the year, we are mindful to consider opportunities to serve the local community. We have been successful in welcoming new families into the church and have seen a growth and development in our outreach and ministry to children. We have in place a strong safeguarding policy which is reviewed annually. All arrangements are regularly reviewed.
In regards to income when extraordinary income from 2020 is removed, the income for 2021 has remained remarkably stable – there is still a strong base of those committed to the purpose and aims of the trust to ensure that income is stable. As well as the mortgage being a major expense so to is the stipends given to the senior members of the ministry team – again this reflects the aims and goals in ensuring that there is leadership and teaching that will keep the trust true to its mandate. Extraordinary costs, as with last year, are A/V equipment coupled with building supplies and reflect the desire of the trust to equip itself and be in the best position to expedite the purpose the trust is in existence. Utilities are a major cost and hopefully can be reduced – part of the Covid 19 strategy within the trust was to keep the meeting place well-ventilated when in use. This ventilation increased the costs incurred in keeping the meetings at a sensible temperature. Finally it should notes that all necessary government legislation was followed pertinent to Covid 19.
