Objects: For The Period Of 50 Years From The Date Of My Death (The Initial Trust Period) To Relieve In Cases Of Need Hardship Or Distress Persons Who Are Resident Or Located In The Urban District And Rural District Of Crediton In The County Of Devon With Particular Reference To The Welfare Housing And Comfort Of Single Persons And Married Couples Over The Age Of 55 Living In Their Own Accommodation And Also With Particular Reference To The Welfare Housing And Comfort Of Persons Of Any Age Who Are Chronically Sick Or Disabled Provided Always That If The Said Object Is Not Charitable Or Cannot Be Attained Or Becomes Impossible Of Performance Its Place Shall Be Taken By Such Charitable Purposes As Shall In The Opinion Of The Governors Approximate As Nearly As Practicable To Such Object.
