The Trust has now 89r88d to pay the fees of l Fagiolini singers when indisposed through illness. In
the freelan￿ worfd this is 6xtremely unusual but we want to set a best practice lor others to follow
and not make singers suffer financially wh6n they ara suffering physically, as in any oth&rjob.
When making grants. the Trustees ol the charity have du8 regard both to the objectives ofthe
charity. as set out above, anij a150 to the guidance on public benefit published by the Charity
Comm15sion. The Trustees consider the following benefrts when evaluating requests for grants..

Bigger projects are con51dered at rneetings of the Trustees. Authority to make grants for projects
15 not normally given at th8se rneelings, bul may be agreed in principle. All ￿qU￿sts for grants are
submitted by ernail to the Trustoes, who consider whether th8y meet the 0￿.ectIveS ol the charity
and whether they are 8ffordable within the available resources. The Truste85 vote by email
whether to approve or r8ject the grant r8ques( and If a majority tsf Trustees vote in favour, the
grant is paid.
The Public receive thesa bgnefits by being able to experience Fxrformances funded by the Trust in
person at venues acrDSS the UK and abroad, through broadcasts on national radio, as well as
online. The support of th8 Trust allows some ol th8 content to be provided to audiences tree of
¢harge.

The Trust's focus is primarily as the Fr￿ndS organisats'on of th8 professional vocal group .1
Fagiolini..
l Fagiolini is a British solo-volce ensemble directed by Robert Hollingworth founded in 1986. Its
core repertoire is R8naissanc8, Baroque and contemporary solo-voice ènsemble r8pertoire. It has
always pioneered infiovative staged presentsb'ons of this repertoire, l Fagiolini's performances of
early rnusic are historically informed but at the Same time aim to bring the spirrt of the music to lif8
for new, non-specialist au(liences.
Friends and Patrons join to be kept in touch wth what l Fagiolini do, to support their work and to
have acce5S to selected professional rehears815 to meet the perfomers and gain an insight into
what Is Involved in bringing a Musical work to a high perfomiing stsndard.

The funds raised trorn subscripb.ons and donations trom Friends, Patrons, and other sources are
used in futhering our purpose to èducate the public in vocal music by giving grants to l Fagiolini
Projects Ltd and other bodies to support and enable the production of inspiring perfomiances of
arb'stic merrt.
The Trust also sponsors occasional wothshops for members ol the public to partiupate in
performan￿$ ol vocal and choral music, helping them to 8xpgri8ncg the $8tisfathon of leaming,
rehearsing and performing rnusic to a high stsndard.
From tirne to time receive requests from other groups. and we airn to provide supportto
prq'ects when the ￿qUestS are eonsistenl wth the aiTns and g081s of the Trust and WÈ have the
resources availalle.
Achievomgnts and Perfonnance
This yeaf saw the release of the second recording in the Benevoli $8ri88, faatunng his Missa
Benevola, along wth pertormances of Benevoli In St Martins in the Fields, London. St George,
Bristol linvolving Bristol University Singers) and at Stour Music festival as well as workshop run on
the work by Robert Hollingworth. The third disc In the series. induding ￿pertoIre for Pentecos(
was recorded in July arKI will be rtsleased in Apri5 2026.
A suc￿$$(U1 Friends weekend was run by the Trust at Hawkwood College. Stroud, the
members of the l Fagiolini Friends We￿ able to rehearse and perform Benevoli and 81s0 Works by
Joanna Marsh.
A Friends Oay wa¥ also held in Lon¢Jon which fe8turad l Fagiolini perfo￿1n9 the Vidoria Requiem,
singing wotkshop led by Robert Hoilingworth. and the London d8bLrt of The Lyons Mouth.
The Trust continued to support creation of more episodes of tre podcast Choral Chihuahua which
are reaching 3000 listens a Tnonth.
Th8 Trust has conb.nued to support the develolxnent of The Lyons Mouth, a group of former
University of York students. enabling them to attend an audition in G8rrnany and tske p8rt in the
Utrecht Earty Music Festival.
Details ol all the projects the Trust has 5UPPOrted are detailed in Appendix A below.
Flnanclal Rgvlew
The Trust had totsl income, including tsx recoverable under the Gift Aid Don8ts"ons scheme. of
£260,29812024.. E189,6221. This sum was raised trom subscribing Patrons and Friends, as well
89 non-mernb8r donors. including a gener81 donation of £125,000 from an Individual donoT,
£33,271 raised for the MonteveFdi 1610 recording. £20.092 raised for the 8enevoli ￿00rdIng
project, and £6.250 from a single donor for Choral Chihuahua. The Trust also received a grant of
£7,270 from St Georgos Bristd and £2,339 from the Voces8 Foulldation.

The Trust made total grants 01 £123,57512024." £185,299). £105,60512024.' £174,912) was
granted to l Fagiolini and £17.97012024.. £10.3881 was granted to other bodies to support projects
as detailed in Appendix A below. No other requests were received.
Other expenses included £2,222 of concert Costs. £1.95412024.. £2,961) ol publiaty expenses.,
and £2.691 of adrninistrative ¢¢)sts and bank th8rg85.
The Trusttherefore ended the ￿arWith reserves of £221,06212024'. £91,206), ofwhich £ 37.974
12024.. £ Nil) are restricted fvnds.
Invtstment policy
The Trust does not own any property or Inv85tmentS. as the majority of its funds need to be kept
liquid to rn88t its ongoing obligations. The majority of the Tru5t'5 funds are held with CAF Bank,
together wth a smaller balance at TSB, Princ8s Risborough, Buckinghamshira.
Re•er¥e8
The trustees believe that the charity's assets are available and adequate to fulfil the obligats.ong of
the charity as a whole.
Rlsk Management
The thanty trustses have given consideratyon to the major risks to whith th8 charity is exposèd
and satisfied themselves that system5 or prO￿ureS are eslab115hed in Order to manage those
risks. As a grant-giwng body. the Trust only allocates funds that are already In hand. The Trust
continues to have a steady stream of income, and a steady pipeline of new cre8ts"vÈ projects to
support, $0 the Trustees have no doubts about tre continuation of IFCT as a going Con￿￿￿ for at
least twelve rnonths from the date of Signing this report,
Plans for the Futur•
The Trust expects to continue to raceive a ￿liable 8ubscripts.on incorne from Friends and P8trons
in the cotning year and will continue to raise rnore funds through donations towards Bpecific
projects. The Trust has ag￿ed to SUPPOrt the following project5 in 2025-26".
