Located on outside of Manila. 20 feet hi8h walls, 2 feet thick, barbed wire, huge gate etc- when Tim arrived he said it looked quite imposing/ scary from the outside, but when gates opened It was amazing and beautiful- the size of about 4 football pitches, green grass, farm, houses, lake, Tim realised the walls were not a prison but a protection. Tim spent day with children from 5-16 who had been rescued. Spent about 2 hours with Gunderlina who asked about Jigsaw- she was arnazed and couldn't believe what was being done. She'd been looking for something that was a way to change the source of why thls abuse has been happening. They a8reed the sharing of God's love is the foundation. She sald this is a serious situation which needs a serious response- she'd not heard of a response as serious as Jigsawi please keep doing this, can it be spread across Manila. Vislting Pune and India, an older lady (94} from Mukti mlssion urged us to keep Jigsaw going and saw how important it was, Mukti mision had moved their mission to be under a church, which had totally reshaped it and some children weren't going anymore etc. not a totally positive move and she pointed out that it can be important to keep the people who begin the work so that what God begins can continue and be understood. TIM said that in Indla, the people We￿ so strong inside themselves and in their culture even through much hardship. God opened Tirn's mind to the brokenness of the children and the people in the Philippine5- a brokenness and devastation In the people. Girls who were begging, terrible poverty. Tim has been able to see how God is healing brokenness and reveallng people's identity, becoming people and knowing who they are, to fi'nd wholeness and fullness of life. Thls has been quite a time for Tirn l He has been able to see that Jigsaw's work is what the Philipplnes need. Bringing of life and identity. Tim is being spoken to about how important and needed is the work of jigsaw. Feeling power, we need to make Sure that this work keeps going. It 15 the work of God, Jigsaw's holiday kids club. Tirn spoke to Jenna Lin- they are staying there for a week and sleeping in the slum area. She was so happy and excited because the love amongst the staff 15 $0 great.
