ROTARY CLUB OF DISS AND DISTRICT
Minutes of the Trust meeting held on 21[st] Feb at the Park Hotel following our normal business meeting.
PRESENT. Phil Catchpole, Peter Sorrell, Charles Flack, Eamon Lambert and Bronwen Moran as invited guest and HSBC account watcher
Mr Peter Sorrel was elected as Chair. Previous minutes were agreed.
STATUS OF THE TRUST FUND 2021/2022
Income recorded as £29384 and expenditure as £30795. These figures were taken from the accounts audited by Mr Roger Lay on 8/8/22.
It was agreed that all money raised within the trust would be donated to benefit both those in need nationally and internationally. However, it was further agreed that certain expenditure is allowed against funds raised if purchases are for enhancing Club ability to raise such funds.
CHARITY COMMISSIONERS RETURN .
It was noted that the Charity Commissioners Return must be completed by 30[th] April 2023. The Treasurer filed the return in Feb 23
CHARITY COMMISSION GUIDANCE NOTES .
Trustees were reminded that the Charity Commissioners guidance notes are available on their website and that it was the responsibility of all Trustees to make themselves familiar with these notes.
TRUSTEES FOR 2023/2024.
The Trustees from 1.7.2023 will be The current Trustees plus Bronwen Moran as President. This will need ratifying at the AGM when the accounts are approved. It was agreed but Peter and Phil remain for the benefit of continuity.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING
A date to be agreed in March 2024 in time for the A.G.M.
