The provision of grants to support research and development work in deafness, and the training of teachers of lipreading, training of lipspeakers, training in deaf awareness and communication tactics, and in providing support to deaf people and provision of the information website www.deafstrategies.org.

Objects: 1. For The Relief Of Persons Who Are Deaf Or Who Have A Hearing Loss To Provide Practical Support For Their Families And Friends;2. To Advance The Education Of Persons Who Are Deaf Or Who Have A Hearing Loss By Means Of Providing Facilities For Their Leisure, Training And Employment Opportunities;3. To Advance The Education Of The Public By Means Of Providing Access To Facilities And Information With A View To Integrating Persons Who Are Deaf Or Who Have Hearing Loss Into The Community So As To Alleviate Directly The Stresses Affecting Such Persons, Their Families, Their Friends And Their Carers;4. To Advance The Education Of The Public By Means Of Carrying Out Research Into The Conditions Of Life Of Such Persons And To Disseminate The Useful Results Of Such Research For The Benefit Of The General Public
