INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF PARTIO CHARITABLE TRUST FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MAY 2025
-
| report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30 June 2025, which are set out on pages 4 to /. RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER The charity’s trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year (under the Charities Act 2011), and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibilityto: - examine the accounts (under section 145 of the 2011 Act); - to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act; and
-
- to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
-
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT Your attention is drawn to the fact that the charity has prepared the accounts (financial statements) in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (FRSSE) in preference to the Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice on 1 April 2005 which is referred to in the extant regulations but has since been withdrawn. We understand that this has been done in order for the accounts to provide a true and fair view In according with the Generally Accepted Accounting Practice effective for reporting periods beginning on or after 1 January 2015. My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual ‘ems or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view . INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that: a) proper accounting records are kept ( in accordance with section 130 of the Act), and
-
b) accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act; or
-
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
