**Objects:** 3.1 TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE AND REHABILITATION OF RACEHORSES AND FORMER RACEHORSES AND OTHER HORSES WHICH ARE UNWANTED OR VULNERABLE TO ABANDONMENT, ABUSE, MISUSE OR NEGLECT, OR OTHERWISE IN NEED OF CARE AND ATTENTION, IN PARTICULAR (BUT WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE GENERALITY OF THE FOREGOING) BY MEANS OF RETRAINING AND REHOUSING.

**Activities:** HEROS aims to take in ex - racehorses and retrain and find new homes for them where they can flourish in new disciplines. HEROS also aims to raise the profile of the thoroughbred in general. HEROS provides education, training & work related opportunities for people wanting to work in either the racing or equine industries,including courses for special educational needs children and young people.
