REPORT OF TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025

PRINCIPAL ADDRESS

Ranscombe Kingsbridge Devon TQ7 2DP

TRUSTEE NAME

Justyna Tweedle (Chair) Ashley Thuel (Secretary) Kim Reading Janet Lemmy

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT (inc recruitment of trustees)

Trustees are appointed annually.

RISK MANAGEMENT

The trustees have assessed the risk to which the charity is exposed and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate any exposure to risk.

OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

To relieve the suffering of animals in particular cats, in need of attention by providing the protection, treatment, rehabilitation and rehoming of animals who have come into our care by reason of sickness.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE 2025

We remain determined to offer the change of a new life to all vulnerable cats for whatever reason they need to be re-homed. We try to never turn away a needy cat and have been successful in re-homing cats of all ages. We will continue to give our very best for these wonderful animals who very much need our help.

PUBLIC BENEFIT

Re-homing cats either unwanted, feral or strays. All cats are examined by our veterinary surgeon. All cats are neutered, vaccinated and identity chipped before rehoming. Any necessary operations are undertaken by veterinary surgeons. We promote human behaviour towards animals by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals in need of care by reason of sickness, poor circumstances or ill usage and to educate the public in matters pertaining to animal welfare and the prevention of cruelty and suffering among animals.

FINANCIAL REVIEW

The charity has made a loss of £48,269; whilst expenditure has reduced overall by income is substantially down, especially from donations and gift aid tax reclaimed. Reduced shop sales with the closure of Modbury. It is planned to close further premises in 2026 and there is clearly a need to increase fundraising and donations to support the activities of the charity
