Report Legal and administrative status The AGOY Charitable Trust was constituted under a trust deed dated 7 April 2006 and is registered as a charity under number 1114739. The Objectives of AGOY Charitable Trust The objects of the charity are the advancement of the Islamic religion in accordance wilh the leachings of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUHI, to advance academic education and to relieve poverly worldwide as a resull of natural disasters. Trustees The Trustees are as follows Feroz Abdul Omarji Fiaz Abdul Galar Omarji Risk management The trustees have a risk management strategy which includes an annual review of the risks the charity faces and the eslablishment of systems and procedures lo mitigate those risks and implemenlalion of procedures designed lo minimise any potential impact on the charity should those risks materialise. Reserves policy The trustees aim to ensure that sufficient funds are maintained to enable the charty to carry oul its activities. Results for the year The charity recorded a surplus of £26,984 for Ihe year (2023 = defictt £12.8671. The delailed resulls are sel out in the attached financial stalements. Respective responsibilities ol truslees and examiner The charily's tiustees are iesponsible for the preparation of the accounts.The charitls truslees consider that an audil is nol required for this year under seclion 144{21 of the Charities Acl 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act: to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515llbl of the 2011 Act., and to slate whether particular matters have come lo my attention. Basis of independenl examiner's report My examination was Carried oul in accordance with general Directions given by the Charity Comrnission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records.lt also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounls, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all Ihe evidence Ihal would be required in an audit. and consequenlly no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a Irue and lair view- and the report is limited to those matters sel out in the statement below. Independent examiner's statement In connection wilh my examination, no matter has come to my attention: il which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements . to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 2011 Act- and to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the 2011 Act, have not been met- or ill to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawm in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached. Donalions received Donations are accounted for on a receipts basis. Resources expended Expendilure is included on an accruals basis. Funds Funds comprise unrestricted funds which are available for use at the discretion of Ihe trustees in furtherance of the general objectives of the charity- Trustee remuneration No Irustees received any remuneration during the year.
