Activities
A project based near Kisongo, Arusha, Tanzania. We have a textile centre providing training for local Maasai women so they can generate their own income. In addition there is a small nursery, and a classroom equipped with lap-tops providing support for local school children. A carpentry workshop is being built, which will provide training for local people, enhancing employment opportunities.
Objects: (3.1) The Objects Are To:(3.1.1) Promote, Maintain, Improve And Advance Public Education By The Encouragement Of East African Arts In Partnership With The Local Community Particularly By The Development Of Artistic Understanding And Participation In And By Persons Living In East Africa (the Area Of Benefit);(3.1.2) Preserve And Protect The Health Of Young People By Providing Or Assisting In The Provision Of Training And Education In Matters Of Sex And Contraception And Developing Among Them A Sense Of Responsibility With Regard To Sexual Behaviour;(3.1.3) Promote The Preservation And Protection Of The Good Health Of The Community Living In The Area Of Benefit Particularly By The Provision Of Information, Advice And Other Charitable Forms Of Support Including Advice About Health And Healthy Recreation; And (3.1.4) Provide And Assist In The Provision Of Facilities For Recreation In The Interests Of Social Welfare And With The Object Of Improving Conditions Of Life For The Benefit Of Persons Living In The Area Of Benefit.
