## **Summary of special events and activities**
It has been a fruitful year for the church, particularly in our evangelistic outreach and community engagement.
In September 2024, we reached out to the local Chinese community through a Lantern Festival celebration. Around 30 people attended this evangelistic event. We also coorganized the annual fundraising event with Swan Garden in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
In October 2024, we celebrated the church’s 9th anniversary since moving into Capel Gower. It was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on God’s faithfulness and provision for His church. Nearly 100 people attended the celebration. We also launched our university student and youth ministries for the new academic year. During one of our outreach events, we made pumpkin pancakes and shared God’s Word with those who attended.
December 2024 was a particularly busy month, filled with visitations and various outreach activities. We hosted one of our local Chinese Joy Fellowships at a local care home, where everyone enjoyed playing games, sharing laughter, and eating Chinese snacks together.
The church celebrated Christmas on 22 December 2024. As part of the celebration, we produced and recorded a 30-minute drama highlighting the challenges and barriers that often exist between parents and children. The story concluded with how Jesus brings healing, reconciliation, and restoration to families. The presentation was very well received. Later that afternoon, we hosted a Christmas party for families, where adults and children alike enjoyed games, singing Christmas carols, and, of course, receiving gifts.
On 29 December 2024, we held our Year-End Thanksgiving Service. It was a meaningful time of reflection as we counted God’s blessings and gave thanks for His faithfulness throughout the year.
In January 2025, we held our second Pastoral Workers’ Retreat in Stepaside, Pembrokeshire. It was a valuable opportunity to spend time in quiet reflection before God, to give thanks for His guidance, and to honor and encourage one another. Everyone returned feeling refreshed and spiritually renewed.
We also supported a group of Christians from Bridgend in their Chinese New Year outreach activities at Bridgend College. Through songs, cultural presentations, and explanations of traditional Chinese New Year customs, we shared both Chinese cultural heritage and Christian values with attendees.
In February 2025, the church celebrated Chinese New Year through worship, games, Chinese calligraphy, and dumpling-making activities, creating opportunities for fellowship and outreach.
In March 2025, we began our baptism classes, and on Easter Sunday (20 April 2025), ten brothers and sisters were baptized. We give all glory to God for His saving work in their lives. Their testimonies were deeply moving, and more than 100 people joined the baptism service, both in person and online.
In June 2025, we held our Church Annual General Meeting (AGM), during which committee members were elected. We also celebrated the annual Dragon Boat Festival, using the occasion as an opportunity to connect with members of the local Chinese community. Together, we made dumplings, played games, and shared the gospel with our visitors.
During the summer, we enjoyed our annual church family outing at Cwmdonkin Park. As always, it was a joyful occasion filled with laughter, fun, and fellowship. It provided a valuable opportunity for both young and old within the church family to spend time together and deepen their relationships with one another.
Throughout the year, we have witnessed God’s grace, faithfulness, and provision. We thank Him for the opportunities to serve our community, share the gospel, and see lives transformed through His work.

**Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
