Charity Report Swansea Chinese Christian Church Sept 2020- August 2021 Weekly Church Activities:

Year 2020 was a challenging year for the church family because of COVID. Multiple national lockdowns and movement restrictions had limited the church activities remarkedly. We gave thanks to God for giving us the courage to change most church activities into virtual format. Minister, church leaders, Sunday school and mandarin class teachers were able to adapt to the new way of ministering very swiftly and effectively. We gave glory to God for his provision and guidance. Visitation was reduced to the minimum because of COVID, but nonetheless, we have learnt to reach out and minister to others using media and Zoom.

In October 2020, we celebrated our 5th year anniversary of moving into Capel Gomer virtually. It was a time of thanksgiving and we praised and thanked God for his plan and provision. We had ex-church members joining us from Hong Kong and other countries. It was wonderful to be able to celebrate the church anniversary virtually together with brothers and sisters from oversea.

For Christmas 2020 and Chinese New Year 2021 celebrations, we had similar arrangements of holding these celebrations online. Different ministries pre-recorded their “performances” and sharing, and we were able to share them and put a program together for the celebrations. New friends and families joined us, and we were able to share the gospel through preaching and those “performances”.

During the summer in 2021, when the lockdown restriction was eased, we managed to hold some church outdoor activities following the Wales government COVID restriction rules. It was good to be able to see each other face to face again. It was a great time of fellowship.

We continue to seek God’s guidance for the coming year and may more people be able to accept the salvation of God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
