Developing a greater understanding of the industrial archaeology of the Manchester region.Recording, interpreting and where possible preserving the physical remains of industrial artefacts and sites in their social, cultural and historical contexts. Promotion and research into the industrial archaeology of the Manchester region of England.

Objects: To Advance Education Of The Public In Archaeology: In The Following Manner:(1) By Carrying Out Recording And By Field Work;(2) By Documentary Research;(3) By The Collection And Maintenance Of Archives;(4) By Organising Lectures Conferences And Visits;(5) By Publications;(6) By Co-Operating With Other Related Organisations; And(7) By Any Other Charitable Means.
