## Trustees’ summary report

The full trustees’ report has been produced in a standard format mandated by the Charity Commission. This summary is intended to aid understanding of the financial accounts.

The charity collected donations from UK taxpayers, claiming GiftAid on eligible donations, and from donors via the Charities Aid Foundation, USA.

The whole of the charity’s expenditure in 2023 went to support, directly or indirectly, the opera festival of Opéra de Baugé, France. This festival engages a mix of young singers and orchestral players and mixes them with experienced professionals, thus providing an intensive learning experience for the former as well as ensuring a very high artistic and musical level. Donations by the charity help to defray the costs of UK-based singers, musicians and technical specialists, as well as to attract the experienced performers. This is done by direct payments to individuals as well as via Opera To Go Ltd, the supplier of a package of services to the festival including performers, artistic and musical direction.

The charity paid no remuneration to its trustees, any employee or direct service provider.
