TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR THE RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION FOR PEOPLE IN THE WIDER COMMUNITY AND THOSE WHO NEED THEREOF BY REASON OF LEARNING DISABILITY WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITION OF LIFE.

**Activities:** Haswell &amp; District Mencap operate from a purpose built building in the heart of the community. Our main target group are people with a learning disability, their carers and the wider community. Our services and activities include daycare, sport and social groups, carer support, advocacy, a catering and a furniture social enterprise. We are also a Gateway Beacon Club and have Gateway Active Status.
