FULFIL THE WISH INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
We report on the accounts of Fulfil the Wish for the year ended 31st March 2024, which are set out on page 1.
Respective responsibilities
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts, and consider that the audit requirement of Section 43(2) of the Charities Act 199 (the Act), as amended by s28 of the Charities Act 2006 does not apply, and that an independent examination is needed.
It is our responsibility to:
examine the accounts (under s43 of the Act, as amended),
- to follow the proceedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 43(7)(b) of the Act, as amended), and
to state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of Independent Examiner's report
Our examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission.
An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The proceedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.
Independent Examiner's statement
In the course of our examination, no matter has come to my attention which gives us reasonable cause to believe than in any material respect, the trustees have not met the requirements to ensure that:
proper accounting records are kept (in accordance with s41 of the Act); and
accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records and comply with the requirements of the Act;
or to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

FULFIL THE WISH TRUSTEES' ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31st MARCH 2024
Trustees
Mary Appleton Lisa Taylor Nick Davis Paula Davis
(Administrator and Treasurer)
(Secretary)
The charity is governed by a constitution. Trustees are appointed who have experience in voluntary work and fundraising. A small fundraising committee of four has been appointed.
Objectives
The objectives of the charity is to relieve the sick and / or disabled children in need (and their families and carers) in particular, but not exclusively, through the provision of shared group holidays, days out and activities that they will benefit from.
Activities
In the past 12 months, a regular program of shared and varied activities, usually 1 per month have been carried out to meet the needs of all supported young people and children.
These range from small social get-togethers to full days out ensuring that there is something for everyone.
More active experiences such AnyOne Can and WetWheels have proved to be extremely popular.
Other events during the year were: Disneyland holiday Charity Ball in May Christmas Party
Achievements of the charity over the year
Fundraising opportunities remain limited, but events such as the Charity Ball and ongoing support from families and a generous Christmas donation from WAFLs friends have helped with funding.
Disabled child and transport costs were financed by the charity, but additional costs were financed by the families.
The Disneyland holiday was financed by new families who made a small donation towards the trip and families who had been before who paid the full cost of transport and accommodation.
Signed on behalf of the charity's trustees on 7th January 2025
