We are achieving this by having fun, sUPPOrting our school with ideas, enthusiasm and talent. In the process, we raise funds that go directly into supporting our children's education and their development. Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document The school is a member of the National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations. TAR 2020121 In planning our activities for the year we kept in mind the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit at our Committee meetings. Principle fund raising activities were the Sponsored Bounce. the silent auction, sale of Christmas trees and the smartie challenge. The summar fair was a smaller event due to covid reslriclions and the funds raised from this event were transferred to the PTA account after the year end and so will be recognised in the 2021122 accounts. Several other lesser events included chocolate bingo, a quiz night and the sale of custom cards (cauliflower cards}. Summary of the maln activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects {in¢lude withln this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) Once again, the impact of lockdown restrictions was keenly felt by the PTA and several fundraising events were cancelled in 2021, including the Christmas Fair. TAR 2020121 Section D Achievements and performance The Friends of Holy Trinity raise money through the events that we organise and other activities throughout the year that help boost funds. Whilst the biggest events are the Xmas and Summer Fairs, we usually have the quiz nights and the sponsored bounce which also raise considerable sums. Despite COVID lockdowns in 2021, the PTA was still able lo raise a good amount of money in 2020121. Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity during the year Each year Mrs Bateman and her team create a school development plan where resources, equipmenl and activities that are not financed by the school's budgets, bul which are important for the children's development. are identified for possible funding. The PTA started the year with a healthy bank balance and so was able lo support the school with a number of priority projects, the highlights are listed below..
