Activity
Centenary IUSTI celebrated its centenary in 2023 with the development of an archive of its activity over the last 100 years which is now held on the website. In addition, there was a celebratory event held at the World Congress in Chicago in July 2023.
Global Newsletters
Four editions of STI Global Update were published incorporating letters from the IUSTI President to members, updates from each region anda listing of upcoming meetings and conferences related to STIs. The newsletters were sent to all IUSTI members via email and made available on the IUSTI website.

INTERNATIONAL UNION AGAINST SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS
Collaboration between IUSTI and the WHO 2021-2023:
The WHO Executive Committee continues official relations with IUSTI. The official relations are governed by the Framework of Engagement with nonState actors, according to which the basis of official relations is a plan for collaboration between WHO and the non-State actor with agreed objectives and outlining activities for the coming three-year period structured in accordance with the General Programme of Work and Programme Budget and consistent with the Framework. A collaboration plan for 2024-2026 submitted to WHO in collaboration with our WHO representatives pending ratification by WHO at their triennial review meeting in January 2024.
The then president, Dr Janet Wilson represented IUSTI at WHO meetings concerning the preparations for the informal pre-World Health Assembly (WHA) meeting and the 76th World Health Assembly, which took place in May 2023. The current president, Prof Jo-Anne Dillon contributed 2 appendices to this. Dr Janet Wilson has been a co-author to two sections of the 2023 edition of the Global WHO laboratory and point-of-care diagnostics testing for STIs / HIV manual, launched at the IUSTI World Congress in Chicago congress.
