Overview of Projects
1. Water Project
Access to clean water is a basic human need, yet for many families in Pakistan it has long been a daily struggle. In rural and underserved communities, women and children often walk miles fetch a few buckets of water.
Our Water Project changes that reality by installing waterpumps, manual water wells, solar water stations and water filtration plants that enable people to access fresh, clean, drinking water.
2. Housing
A safe home is the foundation of stability, yet many families in Pakistan especially those living in poverty struggle without proper shelter. Harsh weather, insecurity, and lack of basic facilities make daily life a constant challenge.
Our Housing Program is dedicated to building and providing secure homes for those most in need. Families receive durable housing that protects them from rain, heat, and cold. A proper home improves hygiene, reduces illness, and creates a stable environment for children to grow and learn.
3. Health
Health is vital for empowerment and productivity. COPE made significant strides in improving health outcomes through the provision of wheelchairs and cataract surgeries:
For many in Pakistan, mobility is a daily struggle. Without access to a wheelchair, even simple tasks like attending school, visiting the market, or participating in community life become overwhelming challenges.
Our Wheelchair Program is designed to give the gift of movement and dignity to those who need it most.
Cataract Operations
Vision is a blessing many take for granted, yet thousands in Pakistan suffer from preventable blindness and poor eye health due to lack of access to medical care. For families living in poverty, treatment is often out of reach.
COPE’s Cataract Surgery initiative is dedicated to changing this reality by providing free and affordable eye care to some of the most vulnerable people in society.
In addition, the construction of COPE’s first Eye hospital is underway.
4. Education
Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty, yet many children in Pakistan are denied this basic right. Without access to schools, they face limited opportunities and a future filled with hardship.
Our Schools Program provides safe, supportive learning environments where children can grow, learn, and dream of brighter futures.
We establish schools in underserved communities, to empower children to pursue careers, support their families, and uplift their communities.
5. Vocational Training
COPE’s Vocational Training program empowers women with the skills and tools they need to build a brighter future. The course entails a fully funded 3-month course in sewing and tailoring designed to open doors to financial independence and self-reliance.
Women receive hands-on training from experienced instructors, learning practical techniques in stitching, cutting, and garment design. The program not only teaches technical skills but also builds confidence, enabling women to contribute to their household income and community.
Upon successful completion of the course, each graduate is gifted a brand-new sewing machine. This ensures that the training translates directly into a livelihood, allowing women to start their own small businesses or work from home.
By equipping women with both knowledge and tools, we help break cycles of poverty and create sustainable change for families across Pakistan.
6. Enterprise
For many struggling families in Pakistan earning a stable income can feel out of reach. Without resources or opportunities, they are left vulnerable and dependent. Our Enterprise and Livelihood Program provides a practical solution by gifting fruit carts and livestock that enable families to start small businesses and regain independence.
Uplifting individual households impacts positively on the wider community by bringing affordable goods closer to neighborhoods and strengthens local economies.
7. Food Security
Rising costs and limited income mean that many people go to bed hungry, unsure of where their next meal will come from. Our Food Pack Program provides immediate relief by delivering essential food supplies to households in need.
Every pack is carefully prepared to sustain a family for weeks and receive food security during times of crisis.
8. Building Mosques
Mosques are not only places of worship but also a hub for learning. In Pakistan, many communities still lack proper facilities where families can gather to pray, study, and strengthen their faith. Beyond prayer, our mosques host Qur’an classes, Islamic learning, and community gatherings.
Conclusion
COPE Charity is committed to transparency and accountability. We remain a 100% charity that is proud of all donations being spent on poverty relief projects. The charity is run solely by volunteers and who work remotely.
The work of COPE Charity has positively impacted thousands of lives in Pakistan. We are proud of our accomplishments and grateful for the support of our donors, volunteers, and partners. Together, we are making strides in breaking the cycle of poverty and creating sustainable communities. We look forward to continuing this vital work in the upcoming year and invite everyone to join us in our mission.

Statement of Trustees' Responsibilities for the Financial Statements
For the year ended 31 March 2025
Volunteers
COPE relies on the goodwill of volunteers to run all aspects of the charity's work. Our volunteer pool at COPE is steadily growing and currently there are approximately 150 volunteers that give up their time to support the charity at events and charitable activities. We encourage and reach out to the community through social media, our newsletters and website as part of our recruitment drive to involve a diverse range of people in our work.
Ambitions and long term strategies
Our ambition is to expand our activities over a wider geographical are and reach more people in need. We aim to develop and strengthen partnerships at a local, national and international level, to build support, raise awareness of our work and continue to grow organically.
Company and charity law requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the charitable company's state of affairs at the end of the year and of its income and expenditure for that period.
In preparing those financial statements, the Trustees are required to:
-
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently;
-
make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
-
[prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the ] company will continue in business.

Children Of Pakistan Earthquake Independent Examiners' Report
For the year ended 31 March 2025
We report on the accounts of the Charity for the year ended 31 March 2024, which are set out on pages 5 to 8.
Respective responsibilities of the trustees and examiner
The charity’s members are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity’s members consider that an audit is not required for this year (under section 4144(2) of the Charities Act 2011) and that an independent examination is needed.
It is my responsibility to:
-
examine the accounts (under section 145 of 2011 Act);
-
[to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners (under ] section 145 (5) of 2011 Act); and
-
to state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of the independent examiner’s report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as members concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the view given by the accounts.
Independent examiner’s statement
In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the members have not met the requirements to ensure that:
-
Proper accounting records are kept (in accordance with section 41 of the 1993 Act); and
-
Accounts are prepared which agree with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act; or
-
(2) to which, in our opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

-
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently;
-
make judgments and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
-
[prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the ] company will continue in business.

-
examine the accounts (under section 145 of 2011 Act);
-
[to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commissioners (under ] section 145 (5) of 2011 Act); and
-
to state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
