The relief and assistance of people in any part of the world who are the victims of war, natural disaster, trouble or catastrophe.
Summary of the main activities in relation to those purposes for the public benefit, in particular, the activities, projects or services identified in the accounts.	Para 1.17 and 1.19	We prepared containers of artificial limbs, furniture, equipment and supplies to hospitals; arranged volunteer doctors to perform surgery and train local medics; and gathered food, clothing, medicine and relief goods to send to those affected by poverty and natural disasters in Pakistan. Free orthopaedic surgery camps were held in Karachi, Kashmir, Dadu & Tando Muhammad Khan and Chiniot. We continued our humanitarian work this year and provided relief to the poor and needy with a special focus on rural areas.

Achievements and Performance

Summary of the main achievements of the charity, identifying the difference the charity’s work has made to the circumstances of its beneficiaries and any wider benefits to society as a whole.	Para 1.20	The charity continued to focus on improving the health sector in Pakistan. An increased amount of prosthetic limbs and physiotherapy services were provided free of cost to the disabled at the rehabilitation centre in the Chiniot region. The centre hugely benefited from limbs sent from the UK. Under resourced hospitals across Pakistan were provided with furniture, equipment and supplies. Over 1000 Orthopaedic surgeries, primarily corrective (e.g for club feet ), but also including knee and hip joint replacement, were done free of cost for underprivileged patients at hospitals in Karachi, Dadu, Tando Muhammad Khan, Chiniot and Kashmir. Stoma bags, medicines and medical imaging equipment were supplied to local hospitals in Karachi and Shaukat Khanum Hospital for cancer patients free of cost.
