We provided humanitarian aid to the developing world by sending: 4 containers of furniture, equipment and supplies to hospitals; volunteer doctors to perform surgery and train local medics; food, clothing, medicine and relief goods to the to those affected by poverty and natural disasters in Pakistan. Medicines were also sent to UK nationals stranded in Pakistan due to Covid-19 restrictions. 400 Covid-19 beds were sent to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) in Pakistan to help with the Covid relief effort. Free orthopaedic surgery camps were held in Chiniot where over 100 operations were completed by the team of surgeons and anaesthetists from the UK. |

Para 1.20 | The charity continued to focus on improving the health sector in Pakistan. An increased amount of prosthetic limbs and physiotherapy services were provided free of cost to the disabled at the rehabilitation centre in the Chiniot region. Under resourced hospitals across Pakistan were provided with furniture, equipment and supplies. Orthopaedic surgery, including knee and hip joint replacement, was also done free of cost for underprivileged patients at hospitals in Karachi and Chiniot. Stoma bags, medicines and medical imaging equipment were supplied to local hospitals in Karachi for cancer patients free of cost. |
