There is a child prolection policy in place. A named Welfare Officer is appointed. The fo(yJs of the Clubs activitres remains the development of swimmers through good coaching and individuautearn compets"tion. The Charity is committed to treating everyone equally regardless of personal background within the context of its activities. This indudes ethnic origin and disabilty. The developrnent of swimmers is monitored through tracking performances at competitions and galas. Club Championships gives all our swimmers the opportunity to ctsmpete in a full range of strokes and events. Summary of the main activities undertaken for the public benefit in relation to these objects (include within this section the statutory declaration that trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public benefit) The selection of swimmers for (XKnpetits"ons is fair and transparent The Charity encourages some of our teenage members to becorne poolside helpers andlor swimming teachers. This benefits young people by developing their self-COnfiden￿ and social skills alongside their swimming sk'blls. In line wth the Chaiity Commission's guidan￿ on public benefit the Club is always happy to support our teenage members who are undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh awards scheme. This year we have two swimmer doing Duke of Edinburgh. The Charity is a venfied LeamiThJ Destination for Sefton Children's University. This means children who come to swimltrain can have their Passport to Leaming stamped at the dub. Section D Achievements and performance Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year Bootle and North Liverpool was successful in the Club Affiliation to Swim England process. This shows the club has the minimum standards in place to allow its members to train and compete safely and are covered by insuonce. The Charty offer three, two hourly sessions per week lo swimmers depending on their ability. The club closes for the month of August and for a few days over Chrisbnas and Easte We conts.nue lo have a number of swimmers who compete and train with the Cty of Liverpool. This training gives them opportuniknes to gain enty times for higher level events and achieve regional quali￿ng b'mes. The annual Presentation Evening took pla￿ in February. A very enjoyable evening was had by all our swimmers and their farnilies. A trip to the cinema was organised for all swimmets and siblings in July. Bcmjtle and North LNerpool have dose contacts with the Cty of Liverpool Swimming Club. so a decision was made to continue to fund some technique coaching sessions by one of their experienced coaches. Two of the charits'es qualrfied swimming teachers were Suc￿sSIu1 in gaining their Level one coaching qualrfication and one has agreed lo continue to Level Two. The Charity organised a swimathon in May to raise money for the Merseyside Motor Neurone Disease 8ranth. A Just Giving page was set up and Fifty pounds towarils refreshments was donated by the club. The event took place inslead of a training session. With the help of our volunteers and coaches forty plus swimmers took part and £1,900 was raised. Section E Financial review The Chanty holds funds at the bank in order to meet any unforeseen expenditu￿ that may occur, for example an increase in pool hire. The Clubs main Sour￿ of funds this year has come from membership subscriptions. The Club received a £5.000 donation from Infinite A￿sS Services. This money was towards swimming aids and club knt. The majority of income funded pool hire at the Meadows Leisu￿ Centre and annual individual insurance through Swim England. This year the Charity paid a self*mployed Coach and a level 2 teacher to support our volunteer coaching staff. This was necessary to ensure the safety of all our swimmers and allow one of our volunteer Level 1 attend training for Iheir level 2 coaching qualfficatK)n.. Since January 2024 the new software programme is up and running. all membershi infonnation is now electronic. The cost is £468 r annum.
