Tn￿tee,8 Report (convd...)
In the recent Higher Broughton duster Ofsted rew)rt described the work of the Hershel Weiss
centre as a Pla￿ where potential battlers are removed with great sensitivity and skill so that
local families receive the help they requiTe.
Over the past 18 months, 80°A of our Workload has increased to support the growing nurnl￿ of
families and cliildren accessing our etlfftically appropriate services, requiring more supEx)rt due
to a number of issues affecbng parents or children including parental mental health, povety
and debt viCtin￿ of abuse and an mr￿Sing number of lone parents.
Thi5 means our seTvice5 have to target even furtlw into an already etlmically sensitive and
economically deprived wup.
Our in house lottery fimded cab dinic makes a dIffe￿￿e and holds a full weekly dinic

Our range of services has grown and we now support families much more holistically, we offer
support to get holiday, funiiture, home safety, dothing grants as well as counselling and
activities for children with disabilities.
