## **ROTARY CLUB OF SHERBORNE CASTLES TRUST FUND** Registered Charity Number 1112236 ## **Annual Report of Trustees** ## **For the Year Ended 30[th] June 2021** 1. **PURPOSE** The purpose of the Trust Fund is to receive donations and grants, and to apply both capital and interest earned to, or for, the relief of the poor and needy or such other charitable purposes as the Club shall see fit. ## 2. **FUNDING PRIORITIES** During the year being reported on, funding priorities were focussed on support the local community in Sherborne and surrounding villages during the Covid 19 pandemic. In addition to making donations to the Sherborne Food Bank, an appeal was launched in collaboration with the Sherborne Area Schools Trust to raise funds for the purchase of laptops for children working from home during the 2020/1 lockdown. This appeal raised a net total of £44,965.40 including grants, some very generous donations and gif aid. The total sum distributed to local schools was: **----- Start of picture text -----**
