Shelfield Youth Support Group Charity Number 1112135 Receipts and Payments Account Year Ended 31st December 2024

SHELFIELD YOUTH SUPPORT GROUP Registered Charity No: 1112135 Trustees Report for the year ended 31st December 2024 Background Shelfield Youth Support Group was founded to help find activities for young people. Over the years we have worked with Walsall Youth servI￿s and run our own youth activities. Unfortunately, we have seen Council cut backs with youth services. Some years ago we identified premises to establish a youth droTrin-shop. This was not re￿iVed well in the locality and so we opened a charity shop. Activities of the year The charity has not received any grants but has continued to operate the charity shop. The funds raised have enabled us to help local youth activity groups with their costs, helping young people to have a better quality of social life in the area. We have also been able to make grants to other causes the Trustees have felt it appropriate for the charity to support. Trustees The trustees who have served during the year and since have been: Mr J D Lymn (Chair) Mrs D Lymn Mr C W Pittaway (to February 2025) Mrs W Pittaway (until June 2024) Mrs M Hicken (from May 2025) In addition to the trustees, the charity is supported by several volunteers drawn from the local area. The charity would not be able to function without the support of the trustees and volunteers. Trustees are DBS checked. Changes in trustees do not happen very often but if a new trustee is recruited appropriate training would be given by the existing trustees. Address The charity's registered address where it also operates from is at: 50 Spring Lane High Heath Walsall, WS4 1AT This is at the heart of the principal area served by the charity and is open on set days each week.

Public benefit The trustees have had regard to the Charty Commission's guidan￿ on public benefit. They feel that the donations made to organisations benefiting young people in the local community and other causes represent contributions for the public benefit. Financial review The charity's income for the year was £28,482. Before donations and grants there was an excess of receipts of £18.991. Allowing for donations and grants totalling £10.549, there was an excess of receipts for the year of £8,442. The excess of receipts has been added to the balan￿ of funds brought forward of £23,575. giving a balan￿ of funds to cary forward to 2025 of £32.017. Reserves policy It is the trustees, policy to retsin reserves of £10.000. as a reserve to be able to continue in the event that it is unable to raise funds. Approved by the Trustees and signed on their behalf on the 4& October 2025. Lymn Chair
