attention and to provide and maintain rescue
homes or other facilities for the reception,
care and treatment of such aniinals. To
promote humane behaviour towards Akitas
by providing appropriate care. protection,
treatmenl and security for animals whith
need care and attention by reason of
sickness. maltreatment. POOT circumstances
Of ill usage and lo educate the public in
malters pertaining to Akita welfare in general
and the prevention of cruelty and SLrffering

The Trust has reps and Covordinators
workin9 across the UK, advising
ovmers and rescuing. re-homing and
ietraining Akitas which incurs
transportation and travel costs.
ARW are in conlad with rnost of the
main breeders.
ARW set up home wsits for owners
where necessary.
ARW carry out frequent dog
assessrnent5.
ARW manage the re-homing of
rescue dogs and offer ￿scue backup
for life resulting in kennel and

high as we support some of our adopted
dcgs as well as dogs on lifetime foster.
The Trusl continues lo offer to Cover the cost
of spaying and neuteiing of all adopted
Akitas. Originally introduced in 2018, this
onlinues to be successful. Neutering costs
have risen substantially as have vet bills in
general.
The Trusl has continuously Increased the
membership rate on social media.
Online auctions and fundraisers continue lo
be successful in increasing awareness and
I support fof the Trust as well as finances.
