To promote the long term regeneration of the beach village of Unawatuna following the devastation of the tsunami on 26th December 2004.

Objects: 1. The Relief Of Financial Need And Suffering Among Victims Of Natural Or Other Kinds Of Disaster And Others In Need In The Form Of Money (Or Other Means Deemed Suitable) For Persons, Bodies, Organisations And/or Countries Affected Including The Provision Of Medical Aid.2. To Advance The Education Of People (And Particularly Young Persons) In Or Around Unawatuna And Elsewhere In Sri Lanka Or In Any Disaster Area By Providing And Assisting In The Provision Of Facilities For Education Or Training In Any Educational Advancement.3. The Promotion Of Community Participation In Healthy Recreation In Or Around Unawatuna And Elsewhere In Sri Lanka Or Any Disaster Area By The Provision Of Facilities For Playing Or Participating In Diving, Swimming Or Fishing Or Any Associated Sports.4. To Promote General Charitable Purposes For The Benefit Of The Community Of Unawatuna Or Elsewhere In Sri Lanka Or Any Other Disaster Area, And To Provide Relief From Financial Hardship And Social And/or Economic Disadvantage; And In Particular To Promote And Facilitate Regeneration Through Any Charitable Means, Provide Opportunities For The Aforementioned Residents To Participate Fully In The Life Of Their Community In Ways Which Address And Alleviate Social And Economic Disadvantage And Relieve Unemployment For The Benefit Of The Public In Such Ways As May Be Thought Fit (Including Assistance To Find And Create Employment).5. To Provide Transport Facilities In Unawatuna Or Elsewhere In Sri Lanka Or In Any Disaster Area For People Who Have Special Need Of Such Facilities Because They Are Elderly, Poor Or Disabled Or People With Young Children Or Those Living In Isolated Areas Where There Are No Adequate Public Transport Facilities.6. To Promote For The Benefit Of The Public The Conservation, Protection And Improvement Of The Physical And Natural Environment In And Around Unawatuna Or Elsewhere In Sri Lanka Or In Any Disaster Area By Promoting Biological Diversity And Sustainable Development.
