Objecves and aims

Meengs and gatherings

Church meengs and gatherings are open to everyone and are fundamental for the World Wide Family of God Churches to advance its vision and to build a church based on:

- Real and dynamic worship.

Meengs are open to anyone who would like to worship God as part of a Chrisan community and to learn and experience more about living as a Chrisan.

These gatherings fall into the following categories:

1. Sunday Church Services

The Church has branches in several cies and towns in the United Kingdom where people meet on Sunday for worshipping together and for teachings based on the Bible.

2. Small groups

The churches are subdivided into small groups which meet mid-midweek for fellowship and prayer and also for worshipping and teaching. These group sengs are primarily focused on the community aspects of friendship and pastoral care during happy mes and mes of adversity.

3. Convenons/Seminars

The church holds regular naonal convenons to cater for the spiritual needs of the members and to facilitate connued unity and vision sharing with the church's founding internaonal leadership from whom presenters are invited to minister through preaching, teaching, music and arts. As such the following annual convenons are held:

February Prophec Word Convenon, May UK Preaching of the Cross Convenon, August UK and World Harvest Convenon, Youth Convenon in July and other ad-hoc convenons or seminars as directed.

The church encourages and supports other internaonal convenons parcularly the Pan- African and World Chrisan Churches Convenon in Bulawayo, The Preaching of the Cross Convenon in Harare, the Rural Convenons in Zimbabwe and other convenons in Africa and Australia.

Church Buildings

The Charity does not own any buildings, but does rent church and community halls weekly for the purposes of worship.

Mission Houses are also rented and are used as offices and for community related acvies like family home groups meengs, prayer meengs and as a place to stay for vising Bishops / Pastors, and some needy people.

Weekly church venues are rented in our primary UK areas of London, Birmingham, Southampton and Leeds. Other venues are also rented for our smaller churches under the stewardship of the area churches.

ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE

CHURCHES IN UK

In the year under review the Worldwide Family of God (FOG) Church in UK had congregaons in the following cies: London, Leeds, Birmingham, Southampton, Manchester, Leicester and New Castle. Due to Covid Pandemic restricons during the year under review regular aendance was curtailed. Services were held by aendance on live streaming on Youtube, Facebook and Zoom plaorms. Weekly aendance was approximated at 150 for UK online aendees. A permanent record of these meeng is housed on YouTube and Facebook under Africa Revival TV.

The year ending 31 March 2021 was the most challenging ever in the history of the Church because of the coronavirus pandemic and the aendant medical, social and economic consequences. Many people fell ill and some loved ones passed away. However, the church seized the spiritual opportunity by offering pastoral care, counselling and hope for sick, bereaved and in need of help livelihood.

CHURCH SUNDAY SERVICES

Apart from the online meengs referred to above, no face to face meengs were conducted in the year under review. The online live-streaming meengs were held every Sunday from 9am GMT or 10am BST.

MID WEEK AND PRAYER MEETINGS

Online meengs were held as follows: Monday Leaders Meeng, Tuesday Home-group meengs, Thursday Midweek Service and Friday Hour of Power Prayer Meeng. All meengs were held in the evenings at 4:30pm (GMT) or 5:30pm (BST).

WORLD WIDE FAMILY OF GOD CHURCHES Report of the Trustees Connued

For the year ended 31 March 2021

FINANCIAL REVIEW

The Trustees connue to place emphasis on financial management to ensure that the funds within the organisaon are properly managed.

Reserves

The Trustees believes that unrestricted funds which have not been designated for a specific use should be maintained so that in the event of a significant drop in funding, they will be able to connue the Charity's acvies.

The Church manages its expenditure to ensure that it keeps sufficient funds to meet future needs.

Going concern

At the me of approving the accounts, the Trustees have a reasonable expectaon that the Charity has adequate resources to connue in operaonal existence for the foreseeable future. Thus, the Trustees' connue to adopt the going concern basis of accounng in preparing the accounts.

WORLD WIDE FAMILY OF GOD CHURCHES Independent Examiners Report to the Trustees

For the year ended 31 March 2021

I report to the trustees on my examinaon of the accounts of the charitable company for the year ended 31 March 2021.

Responsibilies and basis of report

As the charity Trustees, who are also directors for the purposes of company law, are responsible for the preparaon of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 ('the 2006 Act').

Having sasfied myself that the accounts of the Company are not required to be audited under Part 16 of the 2006 Act and are eligible for independent examinaon, I report in respect of my examinaon of your charity's accounts carried out under secon 145 of the Charies Act 2011 ('the 2011 Act'). In carrying out my examinaon I have followed the Direcons given by the Charity Commission under secon 145(5)(b) of the 2011 Act.

Independent examiners statement

I have completed my examinaon. I confirm that no maers have come to my aenon in connecon with the examinaon giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

  1. accounng records were not kept in respect of the Company as required by secon 386 of the 2006 Act; or

  2. the accounts do not accord with those records; or

  3. the accounts do not comply with the requirements of secon 396 of the 2006 Act other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair view' which is not a maer considered as part of an independent examinaon; or 4. the accounts have not been prepared in accordance with the methods and principles of the Statement of Recommended Pracce for accounng and reporng by charies applicable to charies preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporng Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102).

I have no concerns and have come across no other maers in connecon with the examinaon to which aenon should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

WORLD WIDE FAMILY OF GOD CHURCHES Notes to the Financial Statements

For the year ended 31 March 2021

1. Accounng Policies

Basis of accounng

The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convenon, except for investments which are included at market value and the revaluaon of certain fixed assets and in accordance with the Charies SORP (FRS 102) ‘Accounng and Reporng by Charies: Statement of Recommended Pracce applicable to charies preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporng Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) (effecve 1 January 2019)’, Financial Reporng Standard 102 the Financial Reporng Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102), and the Companies Act 2006.

WORLD WIDE FAMILY OF GOD CHURCHES meets the definion of a public benefit enty under FRS 102. Assets and liabilies are inially recognised at historical cost or transacon value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounng policy note(s).

Going concern

At the me of approving the accounts, the Trustees have a reasonable expectaon that the Charity has adequate resources to connue in operaonal existence for the foreseeable future. Thus, the Trustees' connue to adopt the going concern basis of accounng in preparing the accounts.

The Trustees have taken advantage of the exempon in SORP FRS 102 from including a cash flow statement in the financial statements on the grounds that the charitable company is small.

Funds

Fund is mainly through voluntary donaons of thes and offerings by the church members and the government gi aid scheme.

Incoming resources

All incoming resources are included in the statement of financial acvies when the Charity is entled to the income and the amount can be quanfied with reasonable accuracy. The following specific policies are applied to parcular categories of income.

Resources expended

Liabilies are recognised as resources expended when there is a legal or construcve obligaon comming the Charity to the expenditure.

Charitable acvites

Charitable acvies are those costs relang to acvies carried out to meet the objecves of the charity and include directly aributed costs as well as support costs.

Allocaon and appointment of costs

Direct costs aributable to a single acvity are allocated directly to that acvity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one acvity and support costs which are not aributable to a single acvity are apporoned between those acvies on a basis consistent with the use of resources.

Taxaon

The charity is exempt from corporaon tax on its charitable acvies.

Tangible fixed assets

Tangible fixed assets, other than freehold land, are stated at cost or valuaon less depreciaon and any provision for impairment. Depreciaon is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost or valuaon of fixed assets, less their esmated residual value, over their expected useful lives on the following basis:
