Principal activities
The company's principal activity during the year continued to be to public education about energy efficiency and renewable energy; conservation of the environment for public benefit by promoting energy saving and the use of renewable energy; the relief of poverty through the efficient utilisation of energy; and to conduct research and development relating to the utilisation of energy conservation practices and R.E technologies, for public benefit.

The directors are satisfied that:
(a) for the year in question the company was entitled to exemption from audit under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 and that no member or members have requested an audit pursuant to section 476 of the Act.
(b) The directors acknowledges their responsibilities for:
(i) ensuring that the company keeps adequate accounting records which comply with section 386 of the Act, and
ii) preparing accounts which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company as at the end of the financial year and of its profit or loss for the financial year in accordance with the requirements of sections 393, 394 and 395 and which otherwise comply with the requirements of the Companies Act relating to accounts, so far as applicable to the Company.
These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the special provisions for small companies under part 15 of the Companies Act 2006 and with the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008).

for the period ended 31 August 2024
1. The company became registered as a charity on 6 October 2005 and is limited by the guarantee of its members and is incorporated within the meaning of the Companies Acts.
2.
Statement of Directors' Responsibilities
Company law requires the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the company and of the profit or loss of the company for that period. In preparing these financial statements, the directors are required to:
a) Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently. b) Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent. c) Prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the company will remain in business. The directors are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the company and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Companies Acts. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the company and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
3. Accounting Policies
These accounts are presented in the format of charity accounts. The following accounting policies have been applied consistently in dealing with items which are considered material in relation to the company's financial statements.
a) Accounting Convention
These accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention in accordance with the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice, and the Financial Reporting Standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008). b) Depreciation Depreciation of tangible fixed assets is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. Fixtures & Fittings: 20% of cost per annum Plant & Equipment: 20% of cost per annum c) Grants Receivable Grants receivable towards revenue expenditure are recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities on an accruals basis.
4. Directors Remuneration
No remuneration was paid to any director during the year.
5. Staff Costs
There were no Salary and National Insurance costs incurred during the financial year.
6. Taxation
No Corporation tax is payable for the accounting period.

I enclose my report on the above company's activities during the year ended 31st August 2024.
Llanidloes Energy Solutions Ltd is a small charity with a turnover of less than £50,000 per year. It has a simple structure and is not registered for VAT.
The charity is administed by volunteer directors and a steeering group and has no employees.
There is one bank account held with The Co-operative Bank and all bank statements are present and
Adequate financial control is evident - the treasurer provides the board of directors with the following :-
Monthly itemised income and expenditure information
Sight of original bank statements for approval
Quarterly management accounts
All payments made are approved by two or more individuals - the project lead/ director and the treasurer.
Draft accounts are produced and circulated in a timely fashion - copies sent to all directors and members of the steering group.
Accounts are formally approved by the board and signed by at least two directors prior to submission to

These accounts give an accurate and comprehensive reflection of the company's activities during the finacial year ended 31st August 2024.
Turnover is accurately itemised by type with each project separately listed.
Charitable expenditure is itemised according to project - clearly indicating restricted and unrestricted funds.
Administrative expenses are suitably categorised with all receipts filed in an fully accessible format. All figures can be easily checked against the bank statements and there are no errors. Cash at bank figures are correct.
Tangible assets are clearly listed and depreciation procedure shown.
Grant money held at the year is accurately itemised.
