a quizzical person into a TASMP member. Keep up the good work please - keep inviting.

In the course of this year our arts exploration has been diverse:_
lectures on Delacroix, Freud & Bacon, Early Iiiglisli Furnitiire, the Pre-Rapliaelites. Canal
Heriiage, Gainsboioiigli, WiEinie-the-Pooli, Tlie Hugiienots, Sri Lanka-Land ot" Ihe Monkey
God and finally, William Morris
stiidy days about songwriters Jerome Kern. Irving Berlin and Cole Porter, Colour and
Illusion, History of Jcwcllcry aiid An of tlic Phaiaohs
plus OLltside Visits to Batli aiid its Holbiirne Museiiin, Heiiry Moore's Studios & Gardens,
Peterborough Cathedral & Elion Hall and a fil'e day tour of Norfolk (tliis year we visiled ihe
Sandrin&rham Estate but unlike last year we did not meet the King and Queen!)
and, of course, our Gala Dinner to see the artistes we have sponsored in the past via our
Young Arts pTograininc

Moor Park Decorative and Fine Arts Society (the Society) was founded in 1968 as an
uniiicorporated association governed by Rules agreed by the menibership. New Rules were
adopted on 22 June 2005 (Ind ihe SoLiely was regyisiered as a Lharity un 4 NoN'ember 2005. In
2018 il lollowed NADFAS'S deLision to adopi tlie opcraiingi naine 'Tlie Arls SoLlCty' riiilier

Under the Rule%, tlie Society is run by a Committee, most of whose members are Trnstees of

The Society's objects are the promotion and advancement of the aesthetic education of the
public, the cultivdtion. appreciation and study of deLor¢ltii'e and fine arts, (Ind the &vji'ingy of
aid aiid e.xperlise for die pre5eri'ation of ihe ariistiL herilage of ilie United Kiiigdoin for the
benetit of the piiblic. The Society is open to any member ot.the piiblic witliout
discrimination.
The Trustees have referred to tlie Charity Cominission general guidance on public benefit
when reviewing? ihe charily's aims and objectives and in planningi fulure aciivities.
Details ot the year's achievements are set out in the Chainnan's Report (see page 2).
The accounts of the Society are presented in accordance with the Charities Act 2011 and
coinprise a Statement of Financial Actiiiities for the year ended 29 February 2024 together
with a Balance Sheet at thai dale and Notes thereon. Tlie accounts have been drawn up on a
full accrual basis, wliich ineans that all iteiiis of incoiiie or expenditure that relate partly oi.
wholly to periods ouiside the accounting year l March 2023 to 29 February 2024 have been
allocatcd on a pro r(its basis.
The Society maintains adequate reserves which. in the opinion of the Committee, are
