Introduction
The Trustees of Barnett Bears Nursery are pleased to present this year's report, reflecting upon
our achievements, ongoing improvements, and our tontinued commitment to providing a safe,
nurturing environment for children.

A key moment for Barnett Bears Nursery this year was our Ofsted inspection in April 2024,
where we were proud to receive a 'Good' rati ng. This recognises the dedication of our manager
and staff, the support of our families, and the Trustees, focus on high standards in early years
education. We will continue to strive and are committed to providing a great service to the
families in our community.
Maintenance and U
rades
To continue our work to enhance our provision, the Trustees undertook several important
upgrades:
New Heating System: We installed a modem, energy-efficient heating system, ensuring
a comfortable and safe environment for children and staff throughout the year.
Garden Works: Significant improvements were made to our gardens, including
landscaping, planting, and repairs to play equipment, creating more engaging and
accessible outdoor learning spaces for all.
We thank all staff, families, and contractors for their patience and cooperation during these
projects, which demonstrate our commitment to investing in the nursery's infrastructure.

While these upgrades were essential, they placed considerable pressure on our finances,
resulting in the nursery operating at a deficit this year. The Trustees are actively seeking ways
to address this challenge and restore financial stability.
