KILLINGLEY MEMORIAL TRUST**_ _Registered Charity No. 1111891_ _Supporting part-time learners in the arts and humanities in the North-East of England_ ## **NINETEENTH ANNUAL REPORT for Annual General Meeting, 23 September 2025** The Trust has had a difficult year, with the number of Trustees, for which the Trust Deed provides a maximum of eight, reduced to five. We particularly regret that Sarah Mant, who had been our Treasurer since 2005, has ceased to be a Trustee for reasons of ill-health. As a result, Andy Lie has moved from the position of Chair to that of Treasurer, and Dermot Killingley has returned to the position of Chair, though no longer resident in the Nort-East. Katie Stamps has resumed the role of Applications Manager. Mabel Lie has joined us as a new Trustee, and taken on the role of Secretary. Vivien Nowicki has taken on the new role of mentoring lead. Henryk Nowicki has become a Trustee, with the role of Tech support. Following the change of Treasurer, Andy Lie, as the new Treasurer, has had difficulty negotiating with the Trust’s bank, HSBC. Individual staff have been helpful, but he has not yet been able to gain access to the account. Consequently he has had to revert to making payments by cheque instead of online, and has been unable to compile this year’s statement of account. It is hoped that this problem will be resolved before the next AGM, in July 2026. Interviews were conducted online.
