The Rory & ElYLabeth Brooks Foundation 15 an independent grant-making charity seeking to support
organisations delivering tharitsble projects 015ignificant public benefit in a cost effective way. Thè Charity's
geographic area of focus 1$ the United Kingdom: however. grants may be made to UK charitits and educational
institutions operating in the UK and elsèwhere in the world.
Th• Truste•s' txperience has been that th•ir PhiL￿thrOp1C contiibution has been m05t useful where they are
able to èngage personally beyond the Chèrity's financial contrikniion and they have provided practic81 supporL
as liust￿$ and advisors. to many of the organisations they 5UPPOrt. This approach means that th8y tend to
remain ongagod lon9.tgrrn with thèir 9rantees - as is reflerted by the list below of key 9rants made during the
y8ar.
Th8 Charity takes a proactiv• approath to idgntifying organisation$ and projects and is unable to consider
unsolicited applications. This approath ffits with the Ch3rty's decision to award a small numbor of 9rant5 each
year where it feels it can make an impa¢t, and tc* maintain a limited administrativ• function.

and contefflporary art. Since 2014. the Trustees have supported the
Br¢wks Intemationèl Fellowship Programme at Tate, in partnership with
Delfina Foundation. The Fellowship funds two curators. researchers. art
historians. or other museum professionals with a 5ix-month r85idency
programme that. $0 far has enabled tr4enty-four professionals to
contribute to Tate's work in curatorial research. learning, conservation,
digital practic• and visitor communications. The 2025 Fellovés wèr•

from disadvantsged backgrounds to succeed sn school and attain either

vocational qualification. IntoUniv•rsity operates a nationwid• network
of 50 community*ased1gaming c•ntres supporting stud•nts ag•d from
9 to 18. Academic attainment is a cnjcial faC￿r in d•t•nnining the
options available to young p6ople when they lea￿ sch¢)ol - more thJn
doubling ihe university pro9ression rate for stud•nts frorn
disadvantaged backgrounds. Young people suffèred severe
learning 1055 as a r•sult of xhool dosur•s, and those from
disadvantaged backgrounds have been among thos• hardest hits. Corè
to its model is the beliaf that underachievement 15 ￿$t addressed in
th8 cont•xt of long-term educational and pastoral engagèment.

UK Acumen Academy to support the leaders of the small charities in

CREATIVE ARTS
Thè Trusteés have developed a strategic gra#t-making theme to SLtpport 3 srnall number of key partners who
r• •nhancing wellbeing and prospects through th• ueative art3 in partnership with communitl8s. Grants made

THE NAnoNAL GALLERY'S ARncuLAnoN PROGRAMME
Articulation is a national public speaking initiativ•, championing th•
appreciation and <thgcussion of art. It enab189 a widè rang• of
stLKlent5 aged between 13 and 19 to d•vèlop critical thinking.
analysis, presentation and public speaking skills through workshops
and an annual Prizo. Housed at the National Gallery since 2022. over

THE NATIONAL SATURDAY CLUB
The National Saturday Club runs freo cr¢?tive prograrnmès for young

institutions every Saturday during tem time, wtth a partictjlar focus
on reaching those from undwrepresented communities. The Charity
has funded a research projecL conduct•d in partnership with

partnership wtth a large and diverse range of local or9anisations (such
5 Age UK Carets Trus¢ South London and Maudsley NHS Trust) that
