New trustees are elected by the existing trustees and advised to the
membership. The membership has the abilty to nominate potential
candidates.

the Trustees regarding their suitability, degree of challenge, logistics and
costs. Full route and logistics planning is undertaken, and "dry runs.

During the months preceding a challenge event, regular contact is made

and operate Brown Dog effectively and meets the organisation's needs.

Achievements and performance
We commenced 2024 with £9,754 as an opening figure to start a
campaign to raise a challenging c£35.000 to purchase a Single Balloon
Enteroscope for the Lei￿ster Hospttals Charitable Trust.
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
Our chosen main challenges were to walk either, 20 miles in the
picturesque Malvern Hills. starting at British Camp and walking up, down
and around the beautrful open hills, overall climbing some 4.000 feet. or,
a 10-mile walk involving a 1.800 feet overall climb. 40 individuals took
part in the two challenges. raising £11.569.
Additionally, a walk was arranged in Leicestershire, called the "Bosworth.
Challenge which raised £2.705.
The annual netball toumament was suc￿SsfUllY held raising £1,749
thanks to the local community participating in a sociable and fun day.
In addition, throughout the year. other fvndraising activities were
organised by supporters of Brown Dog and donations consequently
re￿ived. Our sin￿re thanks and appreciation go to the following..
Colleagues and friends from BT who raised £2,122 by completing
a sponsored walk.
The Lancaster Academy, Le[￿ster who donated c£1,618.
Coaville Belvoir and their Christmas Santa run which raised
£1,225.
Those individuals who support Brown Dog throughout the year
with one-off donations. regular donations or utilising 'Charitable
Giving. and °Give As You Eam. schemes.
The year ended with the °enteroscope° being ordered with the Lei￿ster
Hospitals Chantable Trust, with the payment of £34.500 due in January
2025.
In summary. the 2024 financial income & expenditure statement reports:

As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011

Responsibilities and
basis of report
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
Independent I have completed my examination. I Confi￿ that no material matters have
examinerfs statement come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect..
