Primarily 'Brown Dog. undertakes 'challenges° in which the Challengers
are sponsored to help raise funds towards those who are affected with
an￿r. In addition. ad-hoc fund-raising events are organised by
individual members, usually in and around where they live.
All ￿ndS raised are used toward5 varying projects where fvnding is not
nomially available via the NHS or other public bodies.

Achievements and performance
After a suc￿Ssful 2021 fundraising Campaign the year started positively
with £48,470 being transferred to the Lei￿ster Hospitals Charitable Trust
for a new'spectron Optia Apheresis System" The remaining monies,
£4,835, gave Brown Dog a good foundation for its 2022 campaign.

durlng the year
After postponing in 2020 and On￿ again in 2021 because of the impact
of Covid-19, the Brown Dog charity were pleased to eventually repeat
their very first walking challenge (on 18 June 2022) in the Lake District,
affectionately known as the "Wordsworth Challenge.. This one event
raised £20,374.
The annual nelball toumament was also able to be su￿sSfullY held
raising £2,173 thanks to the local community participating in a sociable
and fun day.
In addition, throughout the year, other fundraising activities were
organised by supporters of Brown Dog and donations were also received.
Our sincere thanks and appreciation go to Ihe following..
An individual who raised £1,500 on our behalf.
A couple who, as part oftheirwedding day, asked for°gifts" to be
in the form of a donation to Brown Dog
over £1,000 donated.
Those many individuals and organisations who donated over
£4,000 as a result of fundraising initiatives orjust pure acts of
kindness.
Those individuals who support Brown Dog throughoLrt the year
with regular donations or Lrtilising the Amazon 'Smi18° °Charitable
Giving. and °Give As You Eam. schemès.
The year ended with £30,000 being given to the Leic8Ster Hospitals
Charitable Trust for a 'Trans Nasal Endoscope.
