Achievements and performance
As in 2020 our wogramme of artivilEs vras seve￿￿ restricted by Covid-
19.
Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year
The scheduled ￿lebratIon of our 20th year, postponed from 2020, by
repeating our very first walking challenge in the Lake District,
affectionately known by us as the Wordsworth Chaltenge., was agreed
to be delayed orKe again.... until June 2022
However, other fundraising activi￿ *Ere held, induding a walk in
Chamwood Forest, a canoe challenge arKI netball and football
toumaments.
In addition, throughout the year, individual fundratsing activities we
organised arKI donations re¢eived arKI our 5inGere thanks and
appreciation go to the following:
Those indmduals and organisations who donated a total of
£3.785
The two indmduals. Y￿th one completing a 50(YKm vmlk and the
other undertaking a 48 hour gaming marathon, I￿tween them
raising G£1,000
Those indrviduals who support Brown Dog throughout the year
through regular donats'ons or utilising the Amazon -Smile',
"Charitable Giving. and "Give As You Eam. schemes

The Trustees agreed to support the expenses required for a very young
girl ¥tho vms fighting cancer (brain tumour). Urrfortunately, after initial
treatment in the UK. the urgent Proton Beam Therapy was only available
in the USA. Brovm Dog vras pqeased to support with a contribution of
£1,000.
Funds held as at the end of the year totalled £53.305 of which £49,470
was commitied ti)wards a new Spectron Optj'a Apheresis System at the
Leicester Royal Infimiary Hospital. The remaining moni8s, £4,835 would
be towards the Charit￿$ next projecL
Finally, the Trustees would like to thank everyone for their contribution
during this unpredictable year and we hope that Brown Dog will retum
with all of its fundraising activities during 2022. Our aims and objectives
have never been so needed. As we said in 2020, we all know that cancer
does not stop because of Covt&19 and neither does Brown Dog.
