Section C Objectives and activities

Our main activity is to hold religious services of worship. All other activities stem from this primary focus. Summary of the main
achievements of the charity
during the year		 We are pleased to say that the One World Hub, that operates from our
premises each Tuesday, during the day through to Friday continues to
provide a base for much needed help to isolated and vulnerable adults
from within the Oldham community.
The chapel's cafe has also been open to those in need on Sunday
mornings throughout the year. At Christmas with support from Action
Together Oldham and the charity, Ukeff we were able to host on
Christmas Day, lunch for over a hundred people who were referred to us
as being in need. A Christmas gift to each guest was also provided.
Afterwards, food and gifts was taken to those who could not attend due to
the lack of public transport.
Also, the Oldham Folk Club, organised by the minister, meets on the third
Thursday of each month. As previously stated, other evening activities,
include the use of the building by a Pentecostal congregation and a Zen
Buddhist group.
The chapel has a website and a Facebook page the folk club also has a
Facebook page, these are kept up to date by the minister as we continue
reach out to the community.
The building interior, exterior and the chapel grounds remain well
maintained. We invest in maintaining and continually seeking to improve
the fabric of the building.
Our main achievement, taking everything into account is that we are
pleased to announce with some pride, confidence and gratitude, that
through our commitment to regular weekly worship and service to the
community, we are well placed to weather the uncertainties of the
immediate future.

Our reserves policy is to hold 3 months of free reserve funds.

Brief statement of the charity’s policy on reserves We had a surplus of £3,280 in this financial year, compared to a surplus of £5,976 in the previous year. The net assets for this year were £42,951 in comparison to £40,871 in the previous year. Our overall reserves at the end of the year were £21,651 which has improved from the £18,371 shown in the previous years’ reserves balance. (This includes a loan (MDA) being repaid at £1,200 per annum). Details of any funds materially None

REPORT TO THE MEMBERS ON THE UNAUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2022

I report on the accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022 set out on pages 9 to 11.

Respective Responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner

As the charity’s trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).

The charity’s trustees consider an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the 2011 Act, and that an independent examination is needed.

It is my responsibility as independent examiner to:

Basis of Independent Examiners Report

My examination was carried out in accordance with the Directions given by the Charity commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items of disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters.

The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently I do not express an audit opinion on the accounts.

I have completed my examination for the year ended 31 December 2022.

I can confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect:
