Annual Statement. National Piers Society . Reg No. 1111251

The National Piers Society has enjoyed an active year assisting seaside piers with their queries and issues, and promoting seaside piers at every opportunity.

WE have retained close links with the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society and other likeminded bodies associated to seaside piers.

The Society has held its Annual General Meeting Weekend for members which as usual was well supported and continues to provide its members with Piers Journal each quarter.

Membership has remained strong during the year despite the financial situation of the country although a small loss has been recorded this year on the P&L account due to substantial increases is the cost of events and journal production. However, the Society has substantial reserves and is well placed financially to cope with an increasingly fragile national economy. Further cost saving measures will be undertaken to ensure the Society continues to live within its income means and not become reliant on use of reserves or investments.

During the reporting year all Trustees acted as volunteers and were not paid for goods or services.

INDEPENDENT ACCOUNT INSPECTION. NATIONAL PIERS SOCIETY

I have examined the accounts for the year ending 31-12-24 and am satisfied that they are a true and accurate reflection of the National Piers Society finances for the year in question.

I have found no reason to question the accounts, nor have I found and breaches of rules in relation to charitable operation. The Society has managed its finances well, been totally transparent in its accounting methods and ended the year with healthy reserves.
